Top of the BotM’s – Round 8
The Final BotM preliminary poll ….. and this time all the books are from those that we reviewed in August. What we do every week, is get each of our reviewers to pick their personal favourite out of all the ones they reviewed in each given month – and yet again there are some GREAT books to choose from! Remember – use your vote wisely 😉 The winner of this round will join Carter Quinn, Marie Sexton, Taylor V Donovan, SA MaCauley, Abi Roux, Anne Tenino, TJ Klune & TA Webb in the Quarterfinals. As before, the poll will remain open until next Sunday (Sept 22nd) Happy Voting!!!
So, here is the line up of books from August!
And the winner is…. “Whiskey and Wry” by Rhys Ford

I’ve read all these books except for Thorns and I have to say that Glitterland is probably one of the best of the genre I’ve read all year. So funny and sweet. Took what was essentially one of the biggest d-bags ever and made me care about him. It was a feat of dexterity. I’ve read plenty of books with a jerky main character and it is not easy to turn them around.

What kind of monster makes a person choose between “Spook Squad” and “Glitterland”? This is inhumane!

Absolutely no contest. Whiskey and Wry had it all. One of the best of the year and one I’ll read again and again.
