He survives the trip, but he’s stuck with no logs for the woodstove and little food. Fortunately, he gets the number for Mac’s Wood Delivery. Mac doesn’t mind riding to the rescue, and his deep, sultry voice has Eli eagerly anticipating the delivery. Is Mac the little bit of Christmas cheer Eli has been needing?
R E V I E W :
Needing a Little Christmas is a light, fun holiday read that takes Eli, a broken hearted writer, into the mountains during a snow storm on Christmas Eve. He found his boyfriend, Dave, in a compromising position with a junior partner and now he faces spending the holidays alone. His mother convinces him to get away from the apartment that he had shared with Dave to spend a few days in the mountains at a friend’s cabin. She suggests that he look at it as a writing retreat. He is totally unprepared when he leaves the city, not having looked at the weather reports or stopping to get supplies. When he finally arrives, there is no wood for the heater and little in the way of food. Eli spies a bear skin rug on the floor and thinks if he doesn’t get any wood at least he could wrap up in the rug to stay warm (Eli has a flair for the dramatic). Luckily, the cabin’s owner gives him the name of Mac’s Wood Delivery. He explains his predicament to Mac and Mac offers to come to his rescue.
Mac has a super sexy voice and, although Eli is not looking to meet anyone, he can’t wait to see the man that goes with the voice. When Mac arrives, Eli is not disappointed. Mac is the strong mountain man type he would write about in a story. Plus he doesn’t just bring wood, but also food. Once the wood is unloaded and the wood burning stove is heating the cabin, Eli asks Mac to stay for cake and coffee. There is a mutual attraction but neither man acts on it. Eli is leaving in a few days and he is not looking for a hook up with someone like Mac. Mac comes across as someone he would rather get to know, so they part ways but a power outage has Eli calling Mac for help once again.
I enjoyed the chemistry between Eli and Mac. Eli is fresh from being hurt by his ex, who said some pretty hurtful things to Eli. Mac is this gorgeous bear of a guy with a sexy voice and a sense of humor that Eli finds intriguing. The things Eli’s ex found fault with, Mac finds sexy. Mac brings the little bit of Christmas that Eli needs and together they make good use of the bear rug.
Needing a Little Christmas is short and the story moves quickly, but it is fun, sexy and romantic, and it left me smiling.

Silvia Violet writes erotic romance and erotica in a variety of genres including sci-fi, paranormal, and historical.
Silvia Violet can often be found haunting coffee shops looking for the darkest, strongest cup of coffee she can find. Once equipped with the needed fuel, she can happily sit for hours pounding away at her laptop. Silvia typically leaves home disguised as a suburban stay-at-home-mom, and other coffee shop patrons tend to ask her hilarious questions like “Do you write children’s books?” She loves watching the looks on their faces when they learn what she’s actually up to. When not writing, Silvia enjoys baking sinful chocolate treats, exploring new styles of cooking, and reading children’s books to her wickedly smart offspring.

If I can’t take home as a destination then I would choose Hawai’i. Somewhere where it is warm. Christmas in Canada can be a crap shoot sometimes weather wise but I do love it.

I would take a cruise and get away from all the effort of Christmas. People to cook and clean for me and no stress over decorating or gift buying.

We always talk about renting a cabin somewhere in the woods where we would be guaranteed lots of snow, it would have to have a huge fireplace of course! Hopefully someday!

I’d choose Aruba. Or anywhere warm. I don’t like the snow and cold.
