B L U R B :
When physics grad student Fielding Monroe and skirt-chaser and football player Mick Colman become college housemates, they’re both in for a whole new education. Mick is good at looking out for the absent-minded genius, and he helps Fielding clean up his appearance and discover all the silly pleasures his strict upbringing as a child prodigy denied him. They become best friends.
It’s all well and good until they run into a cheerleader who calls Mick the ‘best kisser on campus.’ Fielding has never been kissed, and he decides Mick and only Mick can teach him how it’s done. After all, the physics department’s Christmas party is coming up with its dreaded mistletoe. Fielding wants to impress his peers and look cool for once in his life. The thing about Fielding is, once he locks onto an idea, it’s almost impossible to get him to change his mind. And he just doesn’t understand why his straight best friend would have a problem providing a little demonstration.
Mick knows kissing is a dangerous game. If he gives in, it would take a miracle for the thing not to turn into a disaster. Then again, if the kissing lessons get out of hand they can always blame it on the mistletoe.
R E V I E W :
Ohmigod!! That was so sweet! Such a wonderful Christmas read. I adore geek-fancies-jock-who-also-fancies-geek stories and whilst I am not a huge fan of GFY stories, this one I enjoyed…. maybe because it is a Christmas story, it just worked for me. I loved it ❤ I, too, am going to blame it on the mistletoe.
Mick Colman is the main slut around campus. The girls talk about him being the best kisser too. But just lately he seems to have become bored with his life – he is over all the parties, and the girls, so when he has the chance to move off campus he jumps at it!! First he needs to find a room mate to help make rent, and so the interviewing process begins. Enter Fielding Monroe, new room mate and soon to be best friend.
Fielding, as both his parents say, is special. Unique. Highly intelligent and with a focus that enables him to quickly master anything he truly sets his mind too. When this girl, a truly horrid girl targets him as her next “victim” he panics. He has never so much as kissed a girl before, and now chances are he is going to be caught under the mistletoe – and he doesn’t want to make a fool of hinself… so what do you do when faced with the prospect of appearing foolish and inexperienced? (which you are!) …. You hire a pro. Yep. Fielding asks Mick to teach him how to kiss. Mick, of course, knows that kissing is not just about the mechanics of lip on lip action – it is intimate. So he balks at the plan. For as long as he can….
This really was such a cute story! Mick was a delight!! He almost dotes on Fielding – making sure he eats right, exercises, and he even helps him with his appearance – of course one day all these changes lead to a – “Wow!! he is cute moment!”
The epilogue was maybe a step too far and too quick and too much, but again… it is a Christmas story. A time of magic and wishes and warm and fuzzies, so I went with it and loved it.

About the Author :
Having been, at various times, and under different names, a minister’s daughter, a computer programmer, the author of metaphysical thrillers, an organic farmer and a profound sleeper, Eli is happily embarking on yet another incarnation as a m/m romance author.
As an avid reader of such, she is tinkled pink when an author manages to combine literary merit, vast stores of humor, melting hotness and eye-dabbing sweetness into one story. She promises to strive to achieve most of that most of the time. She currently lives on a farm in Pennsylvania with her husband, three bulldogs, three cows and six chickens. All of them (except for the husband) are female, hence explaining the naked men that have taken up residence in her latest writing.

This does sound cute. I read an excerpt of this one last week and promptly put it on my wish list. As to your question, yes, I have embarrassing moments from parties, but mine are mild compared to most. Thanks for sharing about the story and for the giveaway opportunity.

I really loved this. It was a cute story but I think what I truly loved most about the whole thing was the POV. Usually the story would have been told from the shy, awkward, geeky guy but not this one. This one was told from the jocks POV and that actually made me love it more.

While I was reading it I kept waiting for the POV of change and when it didn’t come, I was excited because like I said we hardly ever get just the jocks POV.

Luckily, no embarrassing stories to tell. And I’m thankful for that! Just the blurb of this story makes me smile and now your review makes me even more excited to read it. Thank you!

I have this book on my TBR list – would be great to win a copy!
One embarrassing story – when I was a teenager, my cat peed on the present I had under the tree for my then-boyfriend. I did not know it until I went to give the present to him and we could both smell it. The cat also peed on the boyfriend’s picture. The boyfriend turned out to be a jerk, so I guess the cat knew what he was doing.
Thanks for the giveaway!

Sounds like the perfect Christmas read.
No embarrassing stories to tell, but it is always interesting to watch some of your mild mannered co-workers let loose after a few drinks at the office Christmas party. 😀

This book sounds great. No embarrassing office stories. We have a very dull Christmas lunch every year.

Sounds like a good read I will have to add it to the list. It would be cool to win it.
I don’t have an embarrassing work story, but last year at a neighbor’s Christmas party I had a little much to drink and acted like a fool. Nothing bad though.
