Blurb:

As vain as he is beautiful, Nino Santos happily lives life waiting for the next ferry full of fairies to bring him new conquests. As long as they aren’t hirsute, he’s all in. So he’s shocked to wake up after a beach party he cannot remember with a hairy naked man lying next to him.

Teddy Miller doesn’t remember the “Bear Week” party either, much less the Abercrombie & Fitch model wannabe next to him. Teddy doesn’t give two cents about appearances, but guys like Abercrombie don’t return the favor. That’s why he prefers men with extra fur and padding over carbon copy clones of perfection—a type of man Teddy is far too familiar with.

When Nino and Teddy glimpse each other the next morning, it’s loathing at first sight. Instead of exchanging phone numbers, they exchange insults and vow never to see each other again. In Provincetown, however, escaping a trick best forgotten isn’t easy. Mutual friends and chance circumstances keep Nino and Teddy in each other’s orbit. But are they fighting each other or the attraction growing between them? The answer lies amid Provincetown’s windswept dunes and the night neither of them can recall.

Review:

Loved this one! We first met Nino back in the first book of this series and I’ve been looking forward to his story ever since. I love when a slutty character finds his match. In this story it’s one he would have never seen coming.

Nino hates bear week in Provincetown. He makes it a rule to hide away until the bears have gone back to wherever it is they came from. So, when he wakes up naked next to a short furry guy he’s a bit shocked. Nino remembers nothing about the night before. Teddy, the guy in his bed, doesn’t know how he ended up there either. He thinks Nino is hot but he’s sworn off dating guys like him after getting his heart broken by one in college. Both men say some things that leave an impression on the other but Nino gives Teddy the boot swearing to never see him again.

That obviously doesn’t happen. A few more chance encounters has the guys slowly getting to know each other better. They’re forced to admit the fact they like each others company. Problem is they’re both so set in their ways, they don’t notice what they’ve found with each other.

So, I adored this book. I loved getting to know both of the MCs. The story is told from both of their POVs so we get to know them through their thoughts and interactions with the secondary characters. Nino was SUCH a shallow slut puppy. Crude and a total jerk with very little redeeming qualities beyond his loyalty to Van. Once I got in his head I started to learn about his insecurities and his past. It all just fell into place and made his transition fascinating. I really loved being in his head.

Teddy had his own hang ups with beautiful people. Nino probably deserved Teddy’s stereotyping at first. Nino was a total prick and I’d get defensive if I woke up with a guy and got that treatment. Teddy has a big heart though and once Nino toned down his snark, they made a connection that was so much fun to read about.

There was so much sex and smuttiness in the first book, I was surprised at how little their was in this book. No worries! Still plenty of raunchy talk and hilarious lines. OMG! I was laughing out loud. However, this book really focuses on the romance and growth of the characters. There was a nice little twist thrown in to amp up the drama that I thought was brilliant. I didn’t see it coming until the page I read it. Looking forward to more from he who shall not be named. 😉

I’d highly recommend this one. You could probably read this book as a stand alone since it’s about different couples but then you’ll just want to go back to catch up. When Love Gets Hairy was fun, funny, and romantic. I’m a huge fan of the MCs and this story. This one is a goody!
